James H. “Jimmy” Darrow passed away in McMinnville on Jan. 23, 2026.
He was born on Jan. 17, 1973 in Baker City to Donald L. Darrow and Victoria Crawford.
James, known by many as Jimmy, grew up in Baker City where he graduated high school. Jimmy married Amy Potter on March 5, 2003 and together they had two children, Kassy and Justin.
Jimmy was a jack of all trades and spent most of his career doing an assortment of handyman jobs. He was a lover of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and collector of Hot Wheels and loved all old cars and Jeep racing, though his greatest love in life was cats. Jimmy loved his kitties.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 22 years, Amy; daughter, Kassy; son, Justin; his father, Donald; his mother, Victoria; and brother, Mike.
He was preceded in death by his beloved cat, Cougar.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either Hermiston’s local Animal Rescue, Fuzz Ball or to the ASPCA in Jimmy’s memory.
