BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-A teenager from Oregon believed to have been taken against her will was found at a home in southern Benton County, Washington on February 28.
Benton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home in the rural southern part of the county to conduct a welfare check on the 16-year-old after being contacted by an Oregon law enforcement agency.
According to the BCSO, responding Deputies made contact with individuals at the home, and the teenager was located.
Major Crimes and Pro-Active Detectives were requested to assist with the investigation, and a 25-year-old male suspect was arrested on March 1 and booked into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of unlawful imprisonment and third-degree rape, according to the BCSO.
The investigation into the case is ongoing and no further information has been released at this time.
