UEC’s Capital Credits program to return $3 million to members

HERMISTON, Ore.-Umatilla Electric Cooperative (UEC) will return almost $3 million to members through its Capital Credits program this spring.

UEC’s Board of Directors has approved the return of $2.9 million to customers who purchased electricity in 2024, and checks should arrive in early April.

According to UEC, the returns reflect the cooperative’s ongoing commitment to operating efficiently, managing costs responsibly, and putting members first.

UEC is a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative that operates at cost, with any funds collected above operation costs returned to members in the form of Capital Credits, based on the amount of electricity members purchased during specified years, in this case 2024.
