PENDLETON, Ore.-Professional women’s golf will return to Pendleton for the fifth consecutive summer this August.

Wildhorse Resort & Casino recently announced that this year’s Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic will be August 21-23.

“In our fifth year of hosting and welcoming the Epson Tour athletes to our tribal lands, our employees and sponsors look forward to making this our best edition of the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic,” said Gary E. George, CEO of Wildhorse Resort and Casino.

The Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic is part of the Epson Tour, the Official Qualifying Tour of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).

Last year, 15 players on the EPSON Tour earned LPGA Tour membership through the season-long points race, with 12 of those golfers competing in last summer’s Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic.

Over 140 professional golfers are expected to compete in the three-day tournament this year, according to Wildhorse Resort and Casino.

A week of activities aimed at growing the game of golf in the region, including two youth golf clinics with EPSON Tour professionals, are planned starting the week of August 17.

“As we grow the game for our region and beyond, we see this golf tournament as an important contributor to the local economy,” said George.
