HERMISTON, Ore.-Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) is holding a Children’s Celebration Day in Hermiston on June 17.
Families are invited to the free celebration of children, healthy families, active play, and community connection hosted by Good Shepherd Pediatrics from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the front lawn of the main GSHCS campus at 610 NW 11th Street in Hermiston.
“We are excited to invite community members to come out, bring your kids, and enjoy this fun event for all the kids in our community,” said Dr. Madalina Mindrut, MD, FAAP, Pediatrician and Pediatric Medical Director at GSHCS.
Children’s Celebration Day is a free event that will feature activities and entertainment for kids and families, including a jump rope competition and lawn games, face painting, a balloon artist, and chalk drawings.
“Bluey” from the beloved children’s TV series will be in attendance, and kids will be able to decorate hats and T-shirts to take home. Free helmets, life jackets, and car seat checks will also be available.
Children’s Celebration Day will also include live entertainment and giveaways, and kids in attendance will have the chance to Silly String GSHCS President and CEO Art Mathisen and COO/CFO Jonathan Edwards.
