Gloria Miller Passes Away at 79

Gloria Jean Miller of Hermiston passed away in Seattle, Wash. on Aug. 31, 2026 at the age of 79.

She was born on April 16, 1947 in Stockton, Calif. to Hubert and Mary La Rue Clark Senn.

Gloria moved with her family to Irrigon, where she lived throughout her childhood. She graduated from Riverside High School in Boardman. She worked for Four Boys Toy Store at Burnham’s Department Store in Hermiston, for Lamb Weston and later for America’s Best Credit Union in Hermiston. She had resided in the Irrigon and Hermiston areas most of her life.

Gloria enjoyed bowling, crocheting, camping, the companionship of her dog and riding her side by side off road. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hermiston. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Gloria met William “Bill” Miller while she was working for Lamb Weston. The couple were united in marriage on March 7, 1980 in Hermiston. Bill preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2022 after 42 years of marriage.

She is survived by her sons, Tad (Cindy) Herrera and Tracy Herrera; stepsons, Lonny (Lacey) Miller, Donald Miller and TJ (Hannah) Miller; sister, Stacy Westmoreland; grandchildren, Cadence Herrera, Nico Herrera, Camryn Miller, Zachery Miller, Hunter Miller, Charlie Miller, Tyler Miller and MacKenzie Gray; great-grandchildren, Emleigh Herrera and Zoey Herrera; and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 850 S.W. 11th St., Hermiston.

Burial will follow in the Hermiston Cemetery.
