LA GRANDE, Ore.-Registration is now open for Investigators of Science, a STEM Day Camp for middle school-age students at Eastern Oregon University (EOU) on October 24.
Sponsored by the Northeast Oregon Area Health Education Center (NEOAHEC) and EOU, the Investigators of Science Day Camp is designed to be fun and scientific, with the theme of “Zombie Apocalypse…Is it really possible?”
Held every fall for the past 26 years and recognized by the American Chemical Society, Investigators of Science camps are designed and led by EOU faculty and students.
According to NEOAHEC, the Investigators of Science Camp offers a full day of problem-solving and scientific exploration and is intended to engage students in Northeastern Oregon with STEM outside the classroom.
Students from all over Eastern Oregon are encouraged to apply for Investigators of Science Camps, with the hope that every student will be able to attend before completing middle school.
The Investigators of Science Camp at EOU runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on October 24 and costs $5 per student.
Registration is available online and is open through October 4.
