The Hermiston High School softball team will play Sandy High School for the 2013 OSAA championship on Saturday, June 1 in Corvallis – the same day six of the Bulldogs are scheduled to graduate.
The six seniors will miss Saturday’s graduation ceremonies, but a mini-ceremony will be held in their honor on Friday, May 31, at 10 a.m., in the HHS Purple gym. After the ceremony, the team, led by first-year coach Kylee Nichols, will travel to Corvallis to compete in the championship game at Oregon State University at 4 p.m.
The public is welcome to attend Friday’s ceremony.
The regular scheduled graduation ceremony will be Saturday, June 1, at 10:30 a.m. in the HHS Purple Gym.
