Ever wanted to know what it’s like to be a paranormal investigator? Well now you will have a chance to find out, thanks to an education program happening weekly throughout the month of October.
Ghosthunters Northwest, a nonprofit group that investigates claims of the paranormal, is offering the public an opportunity to take part in an active paranormal investigation each Wednesday in Umatilla.
Project Spooky: Haunted October Nights takes place from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Oct. 2, Oct. 9, Oct. 16, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30. The cost is $25 per person and all proceeds go to support Ghosthunters Northwest educational programs. Participants will meet with the Ghosthunters team behind the Umatilla Public Library each Wednesday at 8 p.m. The team will then proceed to a home in Umatilla where the investigation will take place. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult and all participants must sign a waiver prior to taking part in the investigation.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own cameras, recorders and other hand-held equipment. For more information and to sign up, send an e-mail to ghnwprojectspooky@gmail.com.
