The North Morrow Community Foundation will present Higher Ground, a film that tells the story of relocating Boardman in the 1960s, on Saturday, April 4.
Boardman was among the small communities along the Columbia River that were demolished and relocated due to the construction of the John Day Dam that brought electric power generation and flood control for the Portland area.
The film is free to the public and will be shown at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 4 at the SAGE Center in Boardman. Higher Ground is the 2007 winner Oregon Heritage Commission Award of Excellence.
