Umatilla-Morrow Head Start staff and volunteers are encouraging the public to visit Riverfront Park on Friday, April 24 and take part in the annual Wellness Day.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m. This year’s theme is Family Game Night which highlights activities to engage participants in fitness-related activities that build team skills while having fun. The day begins with an optional blood draw benefiting the local community followed by a Vegetarian Food Challenge for staff and parents who share their very best recipes. The day concludes with awards including Employee of the Year and Parent of the Year.
“Wellness Day is a day for staff, volunteers and parents to celebrate healthy lifestyle choices and each other,”said Angela Treadwell, registered dietitian and the Wellness Day coordinator.
