Lots of sun and lots of art and entertainment greeted folks on Saturday during the Eastern Oregon Arts Festival in downtown Hermiston.
Local artists and those from around the region put their works on display along Second Street and Main Street and competed for prizes in the open group art show. Metal artist Chris Huffman put on demonstrations for the crowd, and Oregon State University Master Gardeners provided tips for those wanting a greener thumb.
Frasier Wambeke performed during the afternoon as did Dance Unlimited. There were plenty of vendors selling food, beverages and merchandise throughout the day, but the highlight, of course was the art.
