Law enforcement officials say the body found at Sand Station on the Columbia River near Umatilla is that of a Pasco man and that the case is being investigated as a homicide.
Umatilla County Undersheriff Jim Littlefield says the victim is Jose Antonio Leyva, 52, of Pasco. The body was found on Nov. 4 by a passerby.
Littlefield said where and when Leyva was murdered is not known. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office is now working with the Pasco Police Department and is also looking for help from the public who may have information about Leyva.
