The Hermiston Black International Awareness Club will present the annual Community Walk in honor of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16.
The event will begin at the First United Methodist Church, 191 E. Gladys Ave., as participants march through downtown Hermiston before a ceremony at City Hall. Participants will then gather back at the church for prayer, music and a keynote address. Snacks will be available after the event.
