Hermiston High School came in fifth while Pendleton finished second recently at the OSAA Dance/Drill Championships in Portland.
Hermiston finished in the 5A division with a combined team score of 77.22. The Buckaroos final score was 80.15, good for a second-place finish behind South Albany’s 82.27. Lebanon finished third with a score of 78.93, barely edging Milwaukie’s fourth-place score of 78.92.
Hermiston made it to the final round by finishing sixth in the preliminary round with a score of 77.10. Only the top six teams advanced to the final round. Pendleton was third after the preliminaries with a score of 78.82.
