An unusual post and photo on the Hermiston Police Department’s Facebook page has been receiving a lot of attention over the past weekend.

It seems someone misplaced their pet goat and the police are trying to locate its owner. Cpt. Travis Eynon posted a photo of the goat in the back of a police car and wrote the following on Facebook:

“I don’t usually have to ask this to people living in town . . . but do you live in the area of the 1300 block of NE Misty Drive? And, did you lose your goat? If so, we know where it is. Just call dispatch (541) 966-3651 and give them this incident #1807140174 and they can put you in touch with the person who is “kid” sitting.”

As of Monday morning, the post has been shared by 172 people and 49 have offered comments ranging from a lot of lols to jokes about kids these days and questions as to whether he will be charged for eating grass.

So far no word on whether the goat’s been reunited with its owner.
