If you have air conditioning, turn it on. If you have something cool to drink, hydrate. If you don’t have to go outside in the next couple of days, don’t.

The National Weather Service is issuing an excessive heat warning for today and Tuesday as temperatures are expected to reach dangerous levels. The forecast for today is for a high of 109 followed by a high of 106 on Tuesday. The heat advisories are for Northeast Oregon and Southeast Washington.

There will little relief overnight as lows won’t get much below the low 70s and upper 60s.

Wednesday’s high is expected to reach 100 and then Mother Nature is expected to give us all a break. Beginning Thursday, the high temperatures will be in the low 90s for the next week.
