The Hermiston Police Department is trying to find the home of lost kid.

According to the HPD, the kid, actually a young goat, was found on the east side of town in the E. Catherine-N.E. Eighth Street area.

He is in a “foster home” for now, but the police are hoping the owners will be located and pick up the goat. He is estimated to be about 3 months old and could be a banded Boer mix.

The owners are asked to contact the police department by calling dispatch at 541-567-5519 and selecting 1 as an option on the automated menu. HPD says its Facebook page is not monitored closely after hours or on holidays.
