The Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department is selling activity kits for the Great Backyard Campout this Labor Day weekend.
Campout kits are $10 each and are available online. They’re designed for four people and include fun activities and treats for the whole family. The order deadline is Sunday, Aug. 30. Kit pick-up will be on Thursday, Sept. 3, 3-7 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 4, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hermiston Community Center, 415 S. Highway 395.
Participants can post family campout photos in the comments on the department’s Facebook page to be entered into a prize drawing. For more information, call the parks department at 541-667-5018.
