The National Weather Service out of Pendleton has issued a wind advisory for the Lower Columbia Basin and beyond.
Southwest winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected today. The wind advisory is in effect until 11 p.m. tonight.
Strong winds will blow through the Lower Columbia Basin in Oregon and Washington, the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Washington and the Northern Blue Mountains in Oregon, as well as the Columbia Gorge.
The gusts could be strong enough to knock down tree limbs and cause power outages. For more information, visit the NWS website.
