USDA Hosting Webinar on Local Food Purchase Cooperative Program

The U.S. Department of Agriculture will hold an informational webinar for organizations interested in learning more about the Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program (LFPA).

The webinar will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, beginning at 11 a.m. PT. The webinar will provide an overview of the cooperative agreements and application requirements and give information on how to obtain support during the application process.

On Dec. 6, USDA announced that eligible state and tribal governments have until April 5, 2022, to apply for the program that will award up to $400 million for emergency food assistance purchases of domestic local foods.

The webinar will be held via ZOOM. Registration is required. Participants will receive an email confirmation after registering.
