West Park Elementary School Principal Kevin Headings, along a few fifth-grade student leaders and teachers gave the Hermiston School Board a presentation on “Walking the Wildcat way” during Monday’s board meeting.
The representatives highlighted the building culture, student attendance, efforts to support the love of reading, and annual building events.
Hermiston High School social worker Omar Medina gave a presentation on Bullying & Behavioral Management. The presentation was a condensed version of what he shared with parents during the high school’s Spring Welcome.
Medina explained the topics of bullying, harassment, and aggression. He also stated ways parents, staff, and students can address the issue. Medina also spoke about services offered by the district social workers and community partners.
