Marilyn Pourier Passes Away at 67

Marilyn F. Pourier died on Aug. 28, 2022 at her home in Irrigon at the age of 67.

She was born on July 5, 1955 in Igloo, S.D.

In 1963 the family moved to Umatilla, and she graduated from Riverside High School in the class of 1973. Marilyn married her high school sweetheart, Steve Acock, and they had two daughters, Kris and Falon. They later divorced after 30 years of marriage, however reconciled without remarrying.

She had worked at Oregon Potato, the Dodge City Inn and DHS in Boardman until she retired. Marilyn was a member of the Irrigon Moose Lodge. She enjoyed sewing, crafting and her beloved dogs, and she adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Kris Jackson and Falon Partlow, both of Pendleton; life partner, Steve Acock, Irrigon; brother, Maynard Pourier, Irrigon; sisters, Brenda Curnutt, Irrigon, Nora Taylor, Spokane, Wash., Eleanor Pourier, Irrigon and Betty Jean Patton, Rapid City, S.D.; grandchildren, Gabriel, Kamryn, Rylee, Bailee and Nicholas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Roberta Chivington; and brother, John Trundle.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 at Brenda Curnutt’s home in Irrigon.
