Dorothy “Dottie” White Stensrud of Hermiston passed away peacefully in Hermiston on Dec. 10, 2022 at the age of 95.
She was born on Sept. 19, 1927 in Crabtree to Henry and Louise Stuber Klages.
Dorothy loved the ranch life, her horses and doing outside chores. She was a sharp shooter, skier, she enjoyed ice skating and roller skating, and she was a baton majorette in high school. She worked many jobs throughout her lifetime, such as helping sack grain, stuffing sacks with wool, canneries, berry picking, bookkeeping, medical records and head scale attendant. In her later years, she was able to travel and spend time with her family. She loved all of her family and her family loved her very much and will miss her. Memories will keep her close as we laugh and enjoy the life we all shared.
She is survived by her two daughters, LaDonna and Karen; grandchildren, Michael, Josh and Nissa; great grandchildren, Des:Ree, Jasmine, Nicolas and Katie; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members and close friends. She loved each of them with all of her heart!
She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald White.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 515 S.W. Seventh St., Hermiston.
A private family interment will be held at the Enterprise Cemetery.
