Motorist Dies in I-84 Crash

A motorist was killed on Interstate 84 in a single-vehicle crash in Umatilla County.

According to the Oregon State Police, the accident occurred around 9:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 near milepost 217.

The preliminary investigation indicated a silver Honda Pilot, operated by Zoe Ann Marshall, 53, of Bonney Lake, Wash., was eastbound on I-84 when the vehicle lost control and rolled multiple times. Marshall was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was declared dead at the scene.

The highway was closed for approximately four hours during the on-scene investigation.  The cause of the crash has not be determined.

The OSP was assisted by the Umatilla Tribal Police Department, the Umatilla Tribal Fire Department and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
