An AARP Driver Safety Course will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 18 at the Hermiston Senior Center.
The six-hour defensive driving class helps participants develop defensive driving strategies to address age-related changes that impact driving. The cost is $15 for AARP member and $20 for nonmembers. Participants are asked to bring a sack lunch. Snacks will be provided.
The class is designed for those 50 and older, but anyone is welcome. Those completing the class may receive a reduction in the vehicle insurance. For more information or to register, call the senior center at 541-567-3582.
