The Hermiston Basketball Club will host the 12th annual Best of the West AAU Basketball Tournament on Jan. 24-25.
This is expected to be the biggest tournament ever held in Hermiston with 115 teams coming to town – that means at least 1,150 players along with family and friends spending the weekend in Hermiston.
Games will be held throughout the weekend at Hermiston High School, Armand Larive and Sandstone middle schools, as well as Desert View, West Park and Sunset elementary schools. Game schedules will be posted on the Hermiston Basketball Club’s Facebook page next week. Daily admission to the tournament is $5 for adults and $4 for students. Admission is good for all gyms during the day.
Proceeds will support the local traveling AAU teams for boys and girls in grades second through eighth, as well as the local recreational youth league. Proceeds also support the Hermiston High School boys and girls basketball teams.
