Alejandro “Alex” Velasco died on May 6, 2019 at his home in Boardman at the age of 24.
He was born on Aug. 17, 1994 in Hermiston to Jose Velasco and Ceberiana Robles.
Alex attended school in Boardman, Hermiston and Irrigon, graduating from Irrigon High School in 2013. He worked at Nookie’s Restaurant in the kitchen for three years and worked at Lamb Weston in the sanitation department for the last year. Alex was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Boardman. He enjoyed music, going to concerts, cooking and, most of all, spending time with his son and nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his parents, Jose and Ceberiana; son, Jeremiah; brothers, Carlos, Julian, Jose and Eduardo; sisters, Guillermina, Dora, Consuelo and Alicia; grandmothers, Francisca De la Cruz and Josefina DePaz; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Pablo Velasco and Jose Robles.
Services were held on Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9, 2019.
