The Altrusa International of Hermiston Vocational Services Committee has selected two recipients for the Dorothy Juve Memorial Educational Scholarship: Brett Kane and Janelle Davis. Each student will receive $1,500 to assist with their education.
Brett is from Hermiston and currently attends University of Oregon. Janelle, also from Hermiston, attends Western Oregon University.
The Dorothy Juve Memorial Educational Scholarship is Altrusa’s annual spring scholarship. It was named in honor of Dorothy Juve, who was dedicated to children and teaching.
This scholarship is awarded to a student who is approximately two thirds of the way through a post-secondary program. It is intended to help the student attain the final credits needed, in order to move into the job market.
