Altrusa is now accepting applications for the fall/winter term for the Linda Gilleese Memorial Educational Scholarship.
Each year in the fall and spring, Altrusa International of Hermiston awards scholarships ranging from $300 to $1,500. These scholarships are designed to help the student in the completion of post high school studies so they are better able to care for their families and themselves. Applicants must have completed at least two thirds of their post high school education and must be residents of Western Umatilla County or North Morrow County, but may be studying elsewhere.
Applications are available on the Hermiston Altrusa website, at the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce or BMCC. Completed applications must be postmarked no later than Sept. 30, 2013.
