On Saturday, Oct. 19, the football games between Armand Larive Middle School and Sandstone Middle School will be live streamed on the Internet from Kennison Field, at Hermiston High School’s Bulldog Stadium.
The games, played by the schools’ seventh and eighth graders, will be available free of charge on U.S. Education TV starting at approximately 5 p.m.
The live stream will be produced by students in ALTV, the video production class at ALMS, with the support of their teacher Robert Doherty. The intent of the live stream is to equally support the teams of both schools and share the game with a wider audience.
In addition, Erick Olson of KOHU & KQFM, will volunteer his time to assist students with the production, including play-by-play. His expertise in broadcasting will give students an opportunity to learn the different production roles in a real-time situation, including camera work, live streaming software, and speaking.
