Armand Larive Middle School’s ALTV will live-stream Hermiston’s American Cancer Society Relay for Life on Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27.
The relay will be on the ALMS football field and track, while the silent auction takes place concurrently the gym.
ALTV will provide a 16-hour, all-night live-stream marathon from 6 p.m. Friday evening until 10 a.m. Saturday morning. The live-stream will be run by current and former ALTV students from ALMS and Hermiston High School, who are volunteering their time.
The live-stream will be available on the ALTV U.S. Education TV channel.
“It’s quite an honor for us to be asked to do this,” said ALTV Instructor Rob Doherty. “I’ve always tried to instill in the ALTV students the importance of community service outside of class. That’s really what we’re all about. I think this is an important event for us to cover, and it’s for a good cause.”
