Angelica C. “Angie” Flores died on Sept. 25, 2018 at her home in Irrigon at the age of 64.
She was born on Nov. 30, 1953 in McAllen, Texas to Ambrosio and Chriselda Perez Cantu.
Angie was raised in McAllen, Texas and married Sijifredo “Fred” Flores on June 22, 1969 in Edinburg, Texas. They lived in Arlington, Idaho and Washington before settling in Irrigon in 1980, where she had lived since. Angie worked for Shearer’s Foods in Hermiston for the last 20 years.
She enjoyed gardening and working, and loved animals and cherished time with her family.
She is survived by sons, Sijifredo Jr., Rudy, Gabriel and Israel; sister, Chriselda Alicia Caño; brothers, Arturo Cantu, Antonio Sanchez and Ambrosio Cantu; numerous grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and one great grandson.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Chriselda and Mellissa Flores.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at 5 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Hermiston.
Burial will follow at the Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Irrigon.
