Angie Flores Passes Away at 64

Angelica C. “Angie” Flores died on Sept. 25, 2018 at her home in Irrigon at the age of 64.

She was born on Nov. 30, 1953 in McAllen, Texas to  Ambrosio and Chriselda Perez Cantu.

Angie was raised in McAllen, Texas and married Sijifredo “Fred” Flores on June 22, 1969 in Edinburg, Texas. They lived in Arlington, Idaho and Washington before settling in Irrigon in 1980 where she has lived since. Angie has worked for Shearer’s Foods in Hermiston for the last 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, working, loved animals and cherished time with her family

She is survived by sons: Sijifredo Jr., Rudy, Gabriel & Israel; sister: Chriselda Alicia Caño; brothers: Arturo Cantu, Antonio Sanchez, Ambrosio Cantu; numerous grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and one great-grandson.

Angie was preceded in death by her husband: Fred Flores, her parents, 2 daughters: Chriselda and Mellissa Flores.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at 5 p.m., at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018 at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston.

Burial will follow at the Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Irrigon.
