The Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department and Hermiston Rotary Club annual Arbor Day Tree Giveaway is set for Saturday, April 2 in the Hermiston Community Center parking lot.
The event starts at 9 a.m. and goes until all trees are gone. Tree choices are red maple, redosier dogwood, green ash, golden chain tree, tulip tree, Dolgo crabapple, European mountain ash and Colorado spruce.
This is a drive-through event, so have your choice of trees ready when you arrive. There is no limit to the number of trees you may order, but please take no more than you can comfortably plant. For more information, call the parks department at 541-667-5018.
