The annual Arbor Day Tree Giveaway, sponsored by the Hermiston Rotary Club and the Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department, is happening on Saturday, April 4 at the Smitty’s Ace Hardware parking lot.
The event will be drive-through only. To get ready, check out begins at 9 a.m. and continues until all the trees are gone.
The trees generally go fast and are given away on a first-come-first-served basis – so plan to come early. There will be nine different varieties to choose from.
