Hermiston’s Oxbow Trail will be all aglow Saturday night, July 8, as the 2017 Neon Nights 5K Run, sponsored by Club 24 Hermiston, kicks off at 10 p.m. sharp.
The run/walk is untimed and is for all ages. Prices are $25 for adults (age 16 and older) and $15 for youth (age 15 and younger). Participation is free for Free Glowers (kids 4 and younger) but does not include a race packet.
Glow gear race packets, which include a t-shirt and glow-in-the-dark accessories, will be available for pickup at Club 24 Hermiston on Friday, July 7 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., or at the Oxbow Trail head starting at 8 p.m. on the day of the event.
Prizes will be given for the top two best glowers of the evening, so don’t hesitate to go all out with your neon.
The Oxbow Trail head is near the corner of Northwest 11th Street and West Elm Avenue, across the street from the hospital. You can register online through July 6 or at Club 24 until 5 p.m. on July 7. Late registrations at the trail head will begin at 8 p.m.
