The Hermiston/Pendleton Special Olympics program is holding winter sports signups tonight from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Arc of Umatilla County, 215 W. Orchard Ave. in Hermiston.
Practices for basketball and powerlifting will go from January until mid-March 2020. Participation is open to individuals age 8 and older with developmental disabilities.
Volunteers for the season are welcome. Those interested can send a Facebook message or come to signups. For more information, call Special Olympics at 541-314-0166.
