Anthony and Brian Eisenbarth, Mary Hawman Receive Academic Awards
From musicians to mathematicians, educators to economists, artists to athletes, Eastern Oregon University presented a total of 39 awards to undergraduate and graduate students at its annual awards assembly.
Some of the students receiving awards also graduated this year, so the assembly provided an opportunity for faculty to publicly acknowledge and highlight their accomplishments prior to leaving EOU.
Among the students honored for their academic achievement include Hermiston students Mary Hawman, who is studying business administration/accounting; Anthony Eisenbarth, who is studying economics; and Brian Eisenbarth, who is studying philosophy.
“Today we have the privilege of honoring some of our best and brightest students,” said Sarah Witte, interim provost and senior vice president for Academic Affairs, who served as master of ceremonies for the event.
