Armand Larive Middle School will host its 11th annual Knowledge Fair on Thursday, May 30, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the ALMS gym.

The fair will feature projects and performances in art, music, science, and math. Among the scheduled features are pinewood derby races, art displays, mini-plays, a carnival with a variety of activities, video production (ALTV), and live performances from the ALMS band and choir.

The Knowledge Fair began in 2003 as the ALMS Science Fair. Neely Kirwan, Sandstone Middle School principal, started the fair when she was a science teacher at ALMS. Since then the fair has expanded to include a variety of subject areas, and it is a showcase of the school year’s successes.

The fair is free and open to the public. Further information is available by contacting Rob Doherty at (541) 667-6200 or by email at rob.doherty@hermiston.k12.or.us.
