A Hermiston man was arrested and charged with second-degree assault following an incident on S.E. Fourth Street on Feb. 21.
Hermiston police were called to an apartment at 1:30 p.m. and found a 22-year-old Hermiston man with injuries that required hospitalization. An investigation into the incident led to the arrest of 22-year-old Francisco J. Carrillo, who was lodged in the Umatilla County Jail.
Police said none of the injuries to the victim appeared to be life threatening.
“It appears from our investigation the argument ensued over a very small monetary debt,” said Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston.
