It is with sadness that the family of Bernadette Bass announces Berni’s unexpected passing on Aug. 15, 2022 at her home in Hermiston at the age of 70.
Berni was born on May 3, 1952 in Pasco, Wash. to Anne and John Bass, and grew up in the Portland area and Willamette Valley.
She worked as an executive secretary for the state of Oregon and loved music, dancing and horses. Berni moved to Hermiston in 2001 and was devoted to her mother, Anne Bass. A member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Berni loved singing in the choir.
Bernadette will be lovingly remembered by her friends, family, and most especially by her sister and brother-in-law, Teri and Fraser McArter, and her niece, Kaeli McArter.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
