Betty J. Williams died on June 25, 2023 at her home in Hermiston at the age of 91.
She was born on Feb. 7, 1932 in Superior, Neb. to Henry and Grace Harig.
Betty’s family moved to Oregon when she was a child. She married Paul Williams on Nov. 4, 1950 in Walla Walla, Wash. and lived in Hermiston. Betty worked most of her life serving God and helping others. She enjoyed leading a ladies’ Bible study group, crossword puzzles, roses and fishing. Betty was a member of the Hermiston First Christian Church.
She is survived by her children, Karen Flabetich, Kathy Thomas and Bruce Williams; five grandchildren; two great granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Paul; a grandson, Ben; her parents; and all eight of her siblings.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Hermiston Cemetery.
