William “Bill” Edward Lamb of Hermiston passed away in Hermiston on Oct. 25, 2018 at the age of 89.
He was born on Dec. 5, 1928 in Taos, N.M. to Walter and Nettie Collier Lamb.
Bill grew up and attended school in Taos, N.M. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he lived near Connell, Wash. for several years before moving to Eugene. He lived in the community of Veneta (outside of Eugene) for over 50 years. He owned and operated a bowling alley, a stationery business in Creswell and a small tree farm for many years. He had lived in Hermiston for the past year.
Bill enjoyed bowling, dancing and traveling and was a member of an RV club for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter, Linda; son, Scott; granddaughters, Joanna, Jackie, Sandra, Jennifer, Kimberly, Carrie and Cynthia; grandson, James; and many great grandchildren and distant family members.
A private family celebration of life will be held.
