The public is invited to attend a community tree lighting ceremony at the Blue Mountain Community College Pendleton campus today at 4:30 p.m.
BMCC will provide hot chocolate and hot cider at the event, which will take place just outside the east entrance of Pioneer Hall next to the Quad. This event is free, family-friendly and open to the general public.
Tom Hepler of Hepler Trees donated the 15-foot Noble Fir, which will light up each evening following the ceremony through Dec. 23, when the college closes for winter break.
