Gonzalez, who has worked for BMCC since 2014, was nominated by BMCC’s chapter of AAWCC for her passion and commitment to providing service on campus and in the community. Gonzalez not only serves as an advocate for women, but also for the local Hispanic community. She routinely travels to high schools in the College district to present financial aid information and answer questions in both English and Spanish to local Hispanic youth and their families.

“Yadira is a trusted and valuable asset to our AAWCC chapter and our College community,” said BMCC President Cam Preus. “She truly cares about our students and providing access to information so that everyone can pursue their higher education goals.”

Gonzalez is a founding member of BMCC’s chapter of AAWCC, and is the chapter’s secretary.
