Blue Mountain Community College has hired Jordan Hillmick as its new head women’s
soccer coach, effective May 16. Hillmick replaces Art Mota, who coached the women’s team since its inception at BMCC in 2016.
Hillmick is from Pendleton, graduating from Pendleton High School in 2012. He went on to play collegiate soccer at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, from which he graduated in 2017. Following his collegiate soccer career at EOU, the Mountaineers hired Hillmick as an assistant soccer coach for both the men’s and women’s programs at EOU. In addition to his assistant coaching role, Hillmick also led fundraising and game day operations for Mountaineer athletics.
Over the past several years, Hillmick has accumulated several professional licenses from U.S. Soccer and United Soccer coaches. Hillmick said he’s looking forward to his new adventure at BMCC.
“I’m excited to be back in my hometown and to help grow the game,” Hillmick said. “But most importantly, I’m excited to help young student-athletes move on to the next level and accomplish their academic goals.”
The Lady Timberwolves went 0-14-0 in the 2017 season.
“Coach Hillmick brings a fresh start to BMCC Women’s Soccer, and we’re excited to see how he helps shape the program and our players moving into the next season,” said BMCC Director of Student Outreach, Leadership & Athletics Dawn DiFuria McClendon.
