Four Blue Mountain Community College softball players and one baseball player were named last week to the Northwest Athletic Conference’s East Region All-Star teams.
Sophomore outfielder Megan Ulrey (from Keizer) was named to the East Region All-Star First Team, while teammates Lauren Cagle (sophomore shortstop from Susanville, Calif.), Sydney Saxton-Siaki (sophomore outfielder from Irvine, Calif.), and Sarah Bonner (utility player from Billings, Mont.) were all named to the East Region All-Star Second Team.
Baseball player Dustin Durflinger, a freshman infielder from West Richland, Wash., was named the East Region Infield Gold Glove Award winner.
This stand-alone award is given to the outstanding defensive player for each position for each region.
“We’re very proud of all of these student-athletes for their accomplishments this year, both on the field and in the classroom,” said Blue Mountain Community College Athletic Director Brett Bryan.
