Blue Mountain Community College will host a book sale, bake sale and artist craft faire this Friday and Saturday (Dec. 1-2), the proceeds of which will benefit student scholarships through the BMCC Foundation.
The event is free to attend and open to the public. Join the fun for some holiday shopping Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Student Union in Pioneer Hall.
The event is hosted by the BMCC Library and BMCC Classified Association, and will feature a book sale and bake sale, as well as will feature crafts for sale by local artists, who are generously donating a portion of their earnings from the day to the BMCC Foundation. In addition, Saturday is “Make Your Own Gift Day,” with local artists providing guidance on several craft gift projects (supplies provided):
- 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday – Make Your Own Ornaments with artist Ivy Rueppel
- 12-1 p.m. Saturday – Jewelry Making with artist Jennifer Costley
- 1-2 p.m. Saturday – Make Your Own Suncatcher Ornaments with artist David Stump
- 2-3 p.m. Saturday – Make Your Own Collages with artist Lori Sams
