Tired of car shows in hot parking lots? Then come enjoy the stunning views of Pendleton and the Blue Mountains from BMCC’s central lawn at the Blue Mountain Community College Foundation’s 3rd annual Cruisin’ for Scholarships Car Show on Saturday, May 9.
Hundreds of classic and custom cars, motorcycles, trucks, and 4x4s will gather at the BMCC Pendleton campus for the public to view and to be judged for awards. Award categories include, cars by decade, President’s Choice, People’s Choice, best motorcycle, and more.
The free event will include raffles, live music, a burger barbecue from the Pendleton Lions Club, a LifeFlight helicopter landing, and live coverage and music from 92.1 Party FM. In addition, BMCC’s TRiO program – which provides support services to first generation college students – will hold a car wash fundraiser.
All proceeds provide scholarship funding for students in the BMCC Diesel Technology program.
Vehicle registration is $20, and includes dash plaque. The first 50 entries receive complimentary goodie bags filled with promotional prizes from community sponsors. Registration begins at 9 a.m., or participants can register online prior to event.
Web registration fees will be collected during the event day check-in.
